Baby's First Foods Workshop
Introducing solid foods to a baby can be such a joyous occasion, but it can also be one filled with confusion and apprehension. For that reason, I frequently host Baby’s First Foods workshops to help parents and caregivers feel empowered and prepared. Recommendations are regularly changing in the infant nutrition field, so the way grandma and grandpa want to feed baby might be outdated now. In addition, parents are constantly being bombarded with marketing for infant feeding products that may or may not be helpful or necessary. In this workshop, I aim to leave attendees feeling armed with the knowledge and tools necessary to set baby up for success with eating, not only in the infant years, but beyond…
Here’s what you’ll learn in this 90 minute workshop:
How to assess baby's readiness for solid foods
Pros/Cons of different feeding approaches (purees vs baby led weaning) and feeding tools (cups, pouches, utensils, high chairs, gadgets, etc)
How to offer food and what to offer
Current recommendations for when to introduce potentially allergenic foods, such as peanut butter.
What you can do to cultivate a healthy eater from the start and prevent picky eating!
You’ll also receive a PDF packet summarizing everything, plus all recommended products and resources discussed.
The next class will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 10:30am to 12pm at The New Mom School in Newport Beach. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details after successful registration.

Babies are more than welcome to come along, but you may want to consider baby’s temperament and how well you’ll be able to soak up the information if you'll be multi-tasking. If you do bring baby, feel free to nurse or feed as needed. There is also a changing table should you need one.
If you are out of the baby stage, please send this info to a friend that could benefit! :)
