When it comes to working with eating disorders, Janice has spent substantial time and effort learning and gaining experience that has led her to become a highly qualified clinician in the field. WORK WITH JANICE

I’m so glad you have made the decision to invest in your wellbeing. You are worth it! Nutrition counseling is not just about addressing what you eat, but also how you think and feel about food and your body. This is not a one size fits all approach. I will strive to understand your needs, preferences, and goals in order to offer realistic and personalized support for your food and body concerns.

Because our habits are deeply ingrained, making changes that will last a lifetime occurs in stages and often takes time. People often wonder how many times we’ll need to meet. That entirely depends on the purpose of our meeting, your goals, your readiness to change, what support systems you have in place, and many other factors. While it might not be possible to answer that question definitively, here’s what you can expect:

Nutrition Evaluation (Initial Session, 90 minutes):

Nutrition and lifestyle assessment, discussion of your goals in working together, and development of an initial nutrition care plan based on your immediate needs.

Nutrition Follow-up Sessions (45 minutes):

During our follow-up sessions, we will continue to talk through your personal goals, revise our care plan as needed, evaluate laboratory values as needed, identify additional resources that might be helpful to you (i.e. dietary supplements, books, podcasts, referrals to other professionals, etc.) The decision to continue meeting will be a shared one but ultimately you will decide what is most helpful for you.
