Fortunately, Tracy Tylka and colleagues at Ohio State have developed an assessment tool that can help you answer that question called the Intuitive Eating Scale (IES) .
The scale will highlight whether you are holding on to restrictive food practices, assess your level of emotion-based eating, uncover whether you trust your body’s hunger and/or fullness signals, and determine how well you match your intake to what feels good for you.
